In the middle ages, the Europeans pursued the translation of knowledge. They translated Arabic works into European languages - e.g. the works of Avicenna, Khawarizmi, Jabir Hayyan etc; as well as the names of constellations [web]. Thus, knowledge was transferred from the Arabs to the Europeans. From there, they made their own discoveries, which brought them out of the Dark Ages into the Renaissance.

I like translations - we will have our own library & our language will be enriched. الحمد لله

I wish people wouldn't think the malay language - which is a mix of the language of the Holy Scriptures (arabic, hebrew, sanskrit) - is incapable of carrying scientific knowledge. There was a time scientists work using arabic. It was possible to be scientists who speak & write in arabic. Science has been there in arabic, even before English.

Will there come a day when the locals will not feel inferior of their language. The need is - there must be a movement to translate, transfer the knowledge into the local language & eventually make your own discoveries. Or else, when the language does not carry knowledge, I'm afraid it will fade away.

REPOST From Nativity To Nusantara

After the First Temple was destroyed, the Israelite became exiled and spread into nations across the world. Then came the new millennium, the Nativity tells about the Wise Men of the East who visited Jesus - are they the Indo Aryans | map

Then the Second Temple was destroyed in which the land became Roman Persian pantheons, and the believers wait for the Promised Messiah. Then in the 7th century, Light shines again from Arabia, carried by Muhammad a descendant of Abraham - is it like a Brahmin calling to the true Faith | map

And the Light shines again throughout the land, carried by the Abbasid in the East and the Umayyad in the West. In the East, The Abbasid built Baitul Hikmah, translating Persian and Indian scriptures - so did they incorporate the wisdom of the Wise Men. But sadly, it was destroyed by the Mongol, but then the Mongols embraced the Faith and carried it across Asia to the Far East.

It was in the Farthest East that Mansur Shah translated the wisdom in Persian Arabic.

يا غلام إني أعلمك كلمات
احفظ الله يحفظك
احفظ الله تجده تجاهك

إذا سألت فاسأل الله
وإذا استعنت فاستعن بالله

واعلم‏‏ أن الأمة لو اجتمعت
على أن ينفعوك بشيء
لم ينفعوك إلا بشيء
قد كتبه الله لك

وإن اجتمعوا
على أن يضروك بشيء
لم يضروك بشيء
إلا بشيء قد كتبه الله عليك
